Ed Graf: New trial ordered after Texas Court of Criminal Appeals threw out his capital murder conviction in March, citing faulty arson science - but a lower bond has been denied as he waits for trial on his son's deaths. KWTX.

GIST: "Ed Graf, who was convicted 25 years ago of setting a shed fire in Hewitt that killed his two adopted sons, lost a bid for a bond reduction Friday in state district court in Waco.........On Aug. 19 Johnson ordered a new trial for Graf after the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals threw out Graf’s capital murder conviction in March, citing faulty arson science. The court agreed that modern forensic techniques could prove he didn't start the fire in a shed in the backyard of the family's home in Hewitt that killed his two adopted sons. The new trial isn't set to begin until February, court dockets show."
