Bulletin: Kristine Bunch; Arson "science" case. AP reports that after 16 years in prison she has been set free on bail pending a new trial.


STORY: "Ind. mom convicted in son's death released," published by Associated Press on August 22, 2012.

GIST: Ind. "Experts from the Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern University School of Law said scientific advances suggest the fire wasn't deliberately set. The Indiana Court of Appeals ruled in March that prosecutors should have provided Bunch's defense with a lab report that allegedly found no trace of kerosene in her son's bedroom. "
